Salvation Testimony:

I was born into a Buddhist family. Never really practiced it. Just followed the religion with the family. Went into a missionary college in Singapore where
I met Christians and they started to talk to me about God. During secondary school days, friends had tried to bring me to church. I went a couple of times
but it was more tricked into it then willingly. In any case, I was not interested. It was during my second year in college that I came across a poem about the “Footprints in the Sand”. I read it and it stirred my heart a great deal. It so happened that I was in the darkest year of my college. Somehow that story spoke into my heart. On Christmas day in 1985, I accepted the Lord on my own at home. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit the following year and things were never the same.

Calling into the Ministry:

After I was saved, I started serving fervently in church. I put my hands into whatever I can do. Soon my heart started to feel that it was still not enough. I was so anxious to do more. That is when I started to contemplate if God is calling me to fulltime. I took no further action, however. It was during a youth camp that I had a vision of Jesus standing in front of me and beckoning me to follow Him. It was then I knew that God has called me to the ministry. Confirmation later came from the church leadership and I answered the call in 1989. I enrolled in the AG Bible school in Singapore in 1990.

Favourite Scripture Verses:

Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

It is only through Christ that I will be able to do what I am called to do. Not my own strength but God’s! It also reassures me that nothing is impossible with God as long as I partner with God.

1 Thess 5:24 “The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it”

This verse has been a reminder to me since I started fulltime ministry that it is God who has called me. This verse has been instrumental in literally keeping me in ministry because many times when I was about to give up, the verse will divinely reveal itself to remind me who is the one who has called me. That never fails to lift me up to stand on my feet again and go on for Jesus.
