About Podcasting

Podcasting is the distrbution of audio or video files, such as preached messages, radio programs or music videos, over the internet. You can either download single episodes , or subscribe for regular delivery of new releases. If you subscribe to a podcast, your podcast facilitator (program) will check regularly for new episodes, and automatically download any releases you have not yet recieved – this function is what distinguishes podcasting from a simple download or real-time streaming. Most facilitators also allow you to choose manual download, when new episodes are released they appear under the podcast and you decide when to download, this can be useful if you have download limits on your internet account.Once downloaded you can listen to episodes whenever you want, wherever you want, either on your computer, or by transferring them to a portable device (e.g iPod or MP3 player). Our weekly podcasts, are available free through iTunes or your chosen podcast facilitator.
