Lythehouse Campus Connexion Pt 2

Let’s hear it from one of the CG Leader, Fong Kar Mun.

It is my desire to see all campus student capture and embrace the vision of Lytehouse, that is to be the salt and light for the Lord wherever God has placed them to be.I have personally, experience going all out for Jesus during my University days and that was so rewarding and enriching for my soul through the lives I had encountered with.

I think it’s during Campus season, God can lay a strong foundation in a person’s life and its the greatest opportunity to train, equip and impact lives through Him!

I believe that every campus students can be a leader and our role as a leader is to give them courage and faith that they are the next batch of leaders that will shine brightly for Jesus.

I also believe in making mistakes and learn and then make mistakes and learn again.

That painful beautiful cycle of life with Christ indeed! Through the process of mentoring relationship, experience, guidance, and counsel can be passed down from one leader to another. We believe in passing the torch, fast but steady!

Rise and Shine for the Lord future leaders!!!!!

karmun

Professionally, Kar Mun is a graduate of Bachelor of Tourism Management UUM, currently pursuing Master of Divinity in Bible College Malaysia and is actively serving in KAOG’s campus and children ministry. Occasionally, you can totally bribe her with food if you need any help at all. (Editors are totally getting it for this statement, we are serious and she’s very very kind and helpful. Find her if you need help)

Here are two adorable students that have a word or two to share with all of you here.

Hi all, Campus Connexion was indeed a great start to unite fellow Campus students! I believe there’s  more in store for each and every one of us as we fellowship with one another! Food is definitely an element that bonds young people together.

Hi everyone, being the timid person that I am, Campus Connexion was just one of the many events that I contemplated for weeks whether to attend or not. But now I know its the best decision I’ve made!

First off, I am really moved by the amount of thoughts that were put into the event. Smallest details from the warm welcome greetings to the choices of food, activities and door gifts. So hats off to the organizing committee!! Editors: Call KAOG to hire them (half-jokingly).

Within the span of just 2 hours, I managed to make a bunch of new friends and have a quality conversation with my friends who I usually only get to say “HiBye” after church service. I am also delighted that I even get to catch up with close friends, sharing everything good in between.

It really didn’t take long for me to quickly realize how comfortable everyone made me feel, I am able to talk to anyone in the room because I had the clarity in mind, telling me that I belong here in this family.

The awkwardness was never thought off hahaha, friendships were also cultivated. We may come from different backgrounds and have tons of stories but we also share lots in common. May it be understanding school workloads and hobbies or talking about perspectives in life. Everyone was approachable, ever so friendly and loving.

Most of all, they accepted me for who I am.

That night, I went home with my heart feeling extremely blessed and contented. I thank God for blessing me with a little community that I can now call my family. I encourage you to join us for the next session and do come with expectations!

Interested to join us for a meaningful time of growth in the Lord, breakthroughs and lots and lots of good food?
