Lytehouse Campus Connexion

Welcome to Lytehouse!

On October 7 of 2017, the Campus Ministry of KAOG, known as Lytehouse, organized a welcoming party for the college and university students. About 60 students, from different public and private universities, joined the event. The event was held in Nanako Studio Cafe, Seri Kembangan.

Rachel Chong, one of our Cell Group leader gave an overview of this event

The gathering intended to foster relationships between campus students all around Kajang and the nearby towns as they share a fruitful time of fellowship over dinner.

Besides the lovely ambiance and the great food, the most important aspect of this event was the new bonds made. This event was held because campus students always want to find a place of belonging as they are away from home.

They also need seniors to guide them in their assignments and life decisions. Thus, this connection event is to make the students feel at home, belonged and know that there are people around for them.

What is Lythehouse, seriously.

14 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16 NIV

Our Sectional Leader Benjamin Chan worded the vision in the event, sharing the passionate calling we all carry as a body of Christ.

God has placed all of us on our respective campuses. We are to be like a lighthouse for God. To spread His light and shine into the darkness. We are called to transform our class, course, campus, the city, and even nations. We must not be afraid to be who we are in Christ and be that light in the campus.

Why Lytehouse?

Its to follow up with our Youth Ministry, Powerhouse. In Powerhouse, they have received the power to be Christ’s witness. Hence, the next move is to shine that power through everywhere they go.

Stay tuned for PART 2 coverage of #lythehouse campus connexion event!!
