MI415/MIS545 – ASIAN RELIGIONS

A study of Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Taoism and Islam and their impact on the daily life of the people. Biblical perspectives and theological issues which are relevant to the Asian culture will be explored and discussed.

Teresa Chai (PhD) served as a missionary to Bangladesh for eight years, developed a literacy program using audio-Scriptures for the Bible Society and was the director of a development project among Bangladeshi youth. She graduated with BTh from Bible College of Malaysia and has a double degree MA Intercultural Studies & PhD in Intercultural Studies (2003) from Fuller Theological Seminary, USA. President of AOIC since 2007 until her resignation on 31 Dec 2012.
