Anger Management Seminar : Controlling Anger Before It Controls You

We all know what anger is, and we’ve all felt it: whether as a fleeting annoyance or as full-fledged rage.
Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you’re at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion. Have you ever lost control of your anger and say or do things you regret later? If this is a frequent occurrence in your dealing with people, then this workshop is for you.
The purpose of learning anger management is not to prevent feelings of anger. Rather, this workshop will help participants understand that anger is a normal and healthy emotion in all of us. Participants will also learn how to recognize the trigger of their anger, evaluate whether their response is warranted, able to gain control over their angry emotions, and learn new ways of expressing their own anger productively before it become destructive to their life, career and relationships.

About the Speaker

Yeo Pei Li is a licensed counsellor and senior lecturer at HELP University College, KL. She has been guiding youths and adults in their career search, career development, career transition and career change since 2001. She is also an adjunct lecturer at Linguistic Council and the Royal Priesthood Bible College, KL. She currently serves as a member of the Counselling Working Team at the Family Life Counselling Unit, FGA. She holds a Masters in Counselling and B.A (Social Administration) from University Malaya; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Satir’s Systemic Brief Therapy from Satir Insitute of the Pacific, Canada; and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselling Education and Supervision at Regent University, USA.
